MakerCon 2025 Brings Creativity, Innovation, and Hands-On Learning to UVU

MakerCon 2025 at Utah Valley University brought together educators, students, and families for two days of hands-on creativity, innovation, and maker-centered learning. Educators explored new tools and strategies on day one, while day two invited the public to enjoy free activities in robotics, engineering, art, and design—highlighting UVU’s commitment to inspiring curiosity and real-world problem-solving.

Mountainland Region CTE Explore High-Demand Health Careers at UVU

CTE Specialists and Work-Based Learning Coordinators from the Mountainland Region recently met at Utah Valley University’s new Lehi campus to explore high-demand health career pathways such as respiratory therapy, occupational therapy, and paramedics. The visit included tours of UVU’s modern health sciences facilities and discussions on regional workforce needs. These quarterly meetings strengthen collaboration among educators, business partners, and postsecondary institutions to expand student access to high-wage, high-skill careers through internships, apprenticeships, and career pathway awareness.
