Nebo CTE Expo Wows Local Students and Industry Partners

On May 18th, the Spanish Fork Rodeo Grounds came alive with the energy and enthusiasm of approximately 3000 seventh-grade students from Nebo and Provo School Districts. The occasion was the highly anticipated Nebo CTE Expo, a dynamic event designed to help young students explore and embrace Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways in Utah. This immersive experience allowed students to engage in hands-on games and activities while interacting with various programs and local businesses, fostering a passion for future careers and empowering them as trendsetters in our society.

SheTech Summer Internships Available

As the school year comes to a close, students may be wondering how they can best prepare themselves for future careers in STEM. Luckily, the SheTech Summer Internship Program is here to provide a unique and valuable experience for girls in grades 9-12, including graduating seniors. From June 6-16th, students will have the opportunity to explore various tech careers and work with different companies in STEM, including Adobe, Vivint, Domo, Goldman Sachs, and more.

Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) are vital components of CTE and secondary education in the United States, offering students the opportunity to develop their skills, explore potential careers, and engage with their peers in meaningful ways. In Utah, CTSOs have been making a significant impact on students and the community at large, providing young people with the skills and confidence they need to succeed in their chosen fields. The state of Utah has a strong network of CTSOs, including DECA, FBLA, FCCLA, HOSA, SkillsUSA, and TSA. These organizations are dedicated to helping students build a foundation of knowledge and skills that will serve them well throughout their lives.
