MTECH to Celebrate Grand Opening of New Payson Campus on September 19, 2025

Mountainland Technical College (MTECH) will celebrate the grand opening of its new 90,000-square-foot Payson Campus on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 10:00 AM, with students, state leaders, city officials, and college staff invited to attend the ribbon cutting. Located at 993 South 1950 West, the campus will serve over 1,000 students annually in high-demand technical programs that support immediate workforce entry or pathways to UVU. With Payson-area job growth projected to surge across sectors such as healthcare, construction, manufacturing, transportation, data analytics, and food services, the new campus is expected to generate more than $100 million in annual economic impact and strengthen Utah’s largest technical college as it serves more than 6,000 students across 39 career-focused programs.

Scoop Up Your Future at the “Get the Scoop on CTE” Event!

The “Get the Scoop on CTE” event will take place on September 22 from 5–8 PM at the MTECH Lehi Campus, offering 7th- and 8th-grade students and their families a fun, hands-on introduction to Utah’s 14 career clusters, complete with over 70 interactive booths, demonstrations, giveaways, and free ice cream. Hosted in partnership with Alpine School District, Utah Valley University, and MTECH, the event showcases pathways that lead to high-demand, high-wage careers and highlights opportunities such as Concurrent Enrollment, industry-aligned training, and real-world skill development. With thousands expected to attend, students can explore programs ranging from firefighting and diesel tech to animal science, digital technology, construction, health sciences, and more—making it a powerful and engaging opportunity for families to learn how Career and Technical Education supports future success.

Girls in Aviation Day Takes Flight in Salt Lake City on September 20!
