The UVU Applied Engineering and Transportation Technologies Open House invites high school juniors and seniors to explore career pathways in automotive, diesel, and collision repair by touring UVU’s industry-grade shops, meeting expert instructors, and learning about hands-on certificate and degree programs. Held at the Sparks Automotive Building in Orem, the event highlights UVU’s ASE-aligned coursework, modern diagnostic tools, and strong job placement opportunities, all designed to prepare students for high-demand careers in Utah’s growing transportation industry.

Get Ready to Compete: Utah County STEM Bowl

The Utah County STEM Bowl, held on September 20, 2025, in Orem, invited 7th–9th grade students to compete in a full day of science, technology, engineering, and math challenges, including a placement exam, a knockout-style speed trivia tournament, a bottle rocket launch, an engineering challenge, and a Rubik’s Cube competition. Students also explored booths from local businesses, colleges, and STEM professionals to learn more about real-world STEM careers. With prizes for winners and opportunities for both teams and individual participants, the event offered a fun, engaging way for students to test their skills, collaborate, and experience hands-on STEM learning.
