The EPA’s Office of Environmental Education has opened applications for the 2025 President’s Environmental Youth Awards (PEYA) and the Presidential Innovation Awards for Environmental Educators (PIAEE), with a deadline of December 1, 2025. These national awards honor K–12 students and educators who demonstrate exceptional environmental stewardship, creativity, and innovation in projects or teaching practices that protect natural resources and promote environmental awareness.

Did you know that each year, some scholarships go unused because students do not know that they could easily receive a CTE scholarship? The Career and Technical Education (CTE) Scholarships and Tuition Awards are for outstanding CTE students in Utah. The scholarships/awards are sponsored by the Utah State Board of Education (USBE) with funds provided by participating higher education institutions. The award amount varies by institution.  There is no GPA requirement for this scholarship and any senior in your programs could qualify and receive one of these scholarships to Utah schools. Micro Focus and the Utah State Board of Education (USBE) are pleased to sponsor the annual Young Technology Scholar (YTS) Award. This award is granted to high school seniors who have demonstrated proficiency in computer information technology-related courses and leadership abilities in their schools and communities.

Winners receive a scholarship award of up to $5,000. Winners are selected by the YTS Award Committee, which consists of representatives from Micro Focus, the Utah State Board of Education, and industry.
