Breaking Ground for the Future: MTECH Payson Campus GroundbreakingSeptember 1st, 2023, marked a historic moment for the Mountainland Region, education, and workforce development in Payson, Utah. Mountainland Technical College (MTECH) broke ground on its future 85,000-square-foot comprehensive campus, setting the stage for a transformative impact on the Payson community. The groundbreaking ceremony, held at 10:30 am, was a culmination of strategic planning, community support, and a commitment to addressing workforce needs. As the shovels hit the ground, the realization of an 85,000-square-foot campus began to take shape, symbolizing a commitment to education and the future.

In 2019, the National Center for Higher Education Management Systems (NCHEMS) highlighted the need to "Address Capacity Needs in Utah County." Fast forward to 2023, and MTECH is not only addressing those needs but exceeding expectations with the Payson Campus.

Meeting Workforce Demand: JobsEQ and DWS Insights

According to JobsEQ and the Department of Workforce Services, there are currently 2,100 job openings in MTECH Program Areas in the Payson area alone.
