SheTech Summer Internships Available

As the school year comes to a close, students may be wondering how they can best prepare themselves for future careers in STEM. Luckily, the SheTech Summer Internship Program is here to provide a unique and valuable experience for girls in grades 9-12, including graduating seniors. From June 6-16th, students will have the opportunity to explore various tech careers and work with different companies in STEM, including Adobe, Vivint, Domo, Goldman Sachs, and more.

During the program, students will have the chance to connect directly with company presenters and mentors and ask questions about what it's like to work in the industry. In-person sessions will take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays each week, with virtual sessions on Fridays. Additionally, at the end of the program, students will attend a virtual career prep session to sharpen their skills and learn how to position and promote themselves.

The SheTech Summer Internship Program is an excellent way for students to gain insight into the tech industry and get a foot in the door for future career and scholarship opportunities. Additionally, for students who are passionate about STEM and want to fast-track their way into leadership opportunities, the SheTech Student Board Member program is an excellent option. This program offers students the chance to develop leadership skills and collaborate with like-minded young women from other schools across the State of Utah.  For more information and to nominate your student, please submit your nomination here.

For students who aren't quite ready for the SheTech program, there are still other STEM programs available, such as the Verizon Innovative Learning program offered through Salt Lake Community College. This three-week program provides hands-on projects for students to learn valuable skills like design thinking, coding, 3D printing, and augmented and virtual reality.
