Diesel Pathway Scholarship Applications Due July 1st

Are you a Utah CTE student with a passion for diesel technology? Are you ready to turn that passion into a fulfilling career? If so, we have exciting news for you! The Utah Diesel Tech Pathways (UDTP) has a scholarship to support students like you who are dedicated to building a future in the diesel tech industry. This scholarship aims to inspire and encourage passionate individuals to pursue a rewarding career in this field.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements: 

  1. Enrolled in a diesel tech program at a university or technical college in Utah.
  2. Pursuing a career in diesel tech with one of the UDTP industry partners.
  3. High school seniors or adult learners currently enrolled or with proof of intent to attend a university or technical college in Utah.
  4. Hold a high school diploma or GED.
  5. U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents with work eligibility status.

If you meet the eligibility criteria, you can apply for the Utah Diesel Tech Pathways scholarship by following these steps:

  1. Answer the four essay questions provided.

  2. Fill out the application form.

  3. Include a live-action photo of yourself working on an automotive or diesel-related project. This photo should showcase your passion and commitment to the field.

  4. Sign and submit the Content Contribution Agreement as part of the application form.

Submission Deadline

The deadline for scholarship submissions is July 1st for the fall semester and November 15th for the spring semester. The UDTP scholarship committee will review all submissions received via email and select one winner for each semester. The winners will be contacted directly by UDTP by August 1st for the fall semester scholarship and December 15th for the spring semester scholarship.

Selection Process and Notification

The scholarship committee will carefully review all submissions and select one winner for both the fall and spring academic semesters. The chosen winners will be notified via email, and their names will be announced publicly on UDTP social media sites. This recognition will celebrate their dedication and passion for the diesel tech industry.

Additional Details

The awarded scholarship toolset, valued at $1000, is designed to support your coursework in an affiliated UDTP education partner program. Prior to receiving the toolset, proof of current or upcoming enrollment is required. Once the recipient is selected, the cash award will be transferred as a credit to a participating tool supplier, who will assist the winner in customizing their toolset. It's important to note that recipients are only eligible to receive the scholarship once in their lifetime.
